Tuesday

We have oxbow ponds near me. They get so disgustingly green...sometimes they get depleted....sometimes they're bluish....More often they're pretty sad. I live in San Antonio which is in a perpetual drought state. They sit on a dry creek with likely small springs feeding them. So, they fill up when it rains.....Then they turn green and evaporate.

One summer, it was so dry that black vultures were the only "aquatic birds".
