1. Well, it doesn't change the math, yet, aand of course which math is important?

The math I'm talking about is support for the Progressive interest in making America A More Perfect Nation.

If/When the Progressives get elected and satisfy the electorate, through their success, broader acceptance of them will grow. And that increases the likelihood that other numbers, such as number of Dems in the House will be increased

Democracy seems to move in fits of exuberance that overcome periods of stodginess. Legislative failure to satisfy results in set-backs

Currently, the popular mood seems to be overcoming 50 years of pro-corporate bias. IMO a politician doesn't need to be a Democratic Socialist to grab onto and be swept along by that sentiment. But trying to hold pro-corporatist and populist posiions in this time will rip your arms off.
