Because someone dared to challenge them in a primary?

Isn't that the point of primaries? To give the electorate a choice between two (or more) candidates?

Is a 30 year incumbent entitled to be in office forever without anyone else being allowed to run against them....why not just do away with primaries if they are going to be compared to terrorism?

Mills wasn't "forced" from the race, she wasn't polling well in that race.

No one is owed an uncontested primary. That's not how our system works.
