I've been thinking that!! Imagine a state fair where all the states and territories enthusiastically present the best of what they are. If Trump wasn't the worst president in history and one of the most abhorrent public figures in American history, I could have imagined a celebration stretching from Memorial Day to Labor Day in which different weeks had different themes - history, industry, natural resources, food, art, music - it could have been absolutely legendary, especially combined with the World Cup.

But noooo, we had to live in the universe where a gibbering buffoon cratered the East Wing and shat an MMA event on the White House lawn.
