Are you making an argument of just restating your opinion as fact? That four Justices disagree with you should be a clue that those whose opinions matter most disagree on the meaning of this clause of the 14th Amendment. If somehow a fifth Justice joins them, Im not sure what mechanism is in place to tell the Court it is wrong and enforce the obvious interpretation of the Amendment.

They can always pass a law to give the Supreme Court another shot to get it "right".

I never said reconsider the case. An actual law could be rightly challenged and reach the Supreme Court.
