Those are state offcials. We elect whoever we damn well please and the feds, no matter who they are, can go f themselves sideways.

Our governor, a Republican, used timing and expense as his excuse for VT not participating in this farce. The real reason is he couldn't get reelected as constable in Bum Fuck if he did.
