It's the propensity to call a politician you don't like, gay. It's such a fucking awful thing to do. Not, obviously, because being gay is "bad", but because the person doing it, obviously views it as an insult. Or that a woman you don't like (think Ann Coulter or Michelle Obama) is trans.
It happens most often on the right, but DU is hardly immune from it.
It's just such a horrible, stupid thing to do.
