The loss of Bob, our beloved pinboy3niner, is a great loss for this community. As I noted a week ago, the news came as a punch to the gut. I'll just repeat what I posted then:
I liked pinboy3niner very much, and even had a couple of pleasant PM exchanges with him. He represented the very best of DU. When interactions here got vicious and stupid--as they have been a lot lately--I looked to him as a source of both wisdom and mirth. I sure will miss him.

His example reminds us that the best thing we can do for ourselves is to help others. I'll carry a bit of Bob's spirit with me as I go forward, and hope to make a small positive difference in the world myself.
