The reason the page takes so long to load is simply because there is so much content on it. This was also an issue on DU2.

The easiest way to fix this would be to reduce the number of threads that appear on the page by increasing the rec threshold. If threads needed, say, 10 recs to get on the Greatest page, that would obviously reduce the number of threads on the page.

We didn't do this straight away because people are used to the threshold set at 5 recs. But we may increase the threshold in future if the page is too unwieldy.
