14. Being the child of a father who

Was not equipped to be an even handed dad, I agree.

Some people are not good at parenting at all. They carry violence, abuse and a broken history which permeates their own parenting. And the cycle continues.

I broke the cycle. I knew I would not be equipped emotionally and mentally to raise a well-adjusted child. So, no kids for me. I suffer lots of anxiety, bouts of depression and have even had thoughts about suicide. I know the signs and seek help when needed.
