Former President Donald Trump endorsed Deb Fischer's reelection bid to the U.S. Senate in a social media post Monday, hailing the Republican as an "America first" conservative and casting her independent opponent as a "radical" leftist.

In a post Monday evening on Truth Social, the website he launched in 2022 after he was banned from other platforms following the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, Trump said Fischer is "doing a fantastic job in the United States Senate."

The three-time Republican presidential nominee pointed to Fischer's post on the Senate's Armed Services Committee, where Trump said she is "fighting to protect our country against the Marxists, communists and lunatics on the radical left."

"Deb is working hard to grow the economy, secure the border, stop migrant crime, support our great military/vets, champion our incredible farmers and ranchers, and defend our always under siege Second Amendment," Trump wrote, adding that Fischer has his "complete and total endorsement."
