That said, it’s a rare rational decision for the Congressional Republicans for a few reasons…

- It’s a long way to the primaries. There’s many fresh Hells to come.
- Finding a viable more MAGAty challenger in many of these gerrymandered districts would be problematic and expensive. Aside from all of the hype, Trump’s crusades of primary-ing have a very low success rate.
- Incumbents are incumbents.

There’s a part of my thinking that what’s behind all of this is setting the stage for Musk to be installed as the SOTH. (That’s Speaker of the House for the acronym adjacent.)
