(3,015 posts)Antony Vo will have his "day in court" so to speak with the IRB. As a more humane country, the Canadians generally move more cautiously than their brutish southern neighbor that "shoots first, asks questions later."
During the Vietnam War, the Canadian authorities in all provinces did not deport American college students seeking an escape from the draft which was a boon to their economy and population.
However, the Canadian authorities did return the few American military deserters who made their way north as they were wanted for a charged crime in the US which is an equivalent crime in Canada.
If the IRB has evidence that Mr. Vo is a member of the Proud Boys, he will be deported on the basis of his membership in a designated terrorist organization. Otherwise, we have to wait for that cockroach to fall off the wall (meaning the results of his IRB hearing).
