Once I left and had my one & only Iraq deployment, it started me on a left-wing trajectory. Of course luckily myself and a lot of other Marines were more into getting laid, watching porn, cranking up music and drinking; than right-wing fuckery at the time.

I would suggest the military doesn't "crank out" militants. Violence-prone militants are attracted to military service
