Lankford: Trump “speaks very boldly on a lot of things,” Lankford said, adding: “We’ve seen this over how he’s done negotiations, whether it be for real estate or whether — how he served as a great president just four years ago.”

He covers well, using "boldly" when "recklessly" is a far better fit. And he stopped himself after saying "whether" as he was heading down a rabbit hole, perhaps about to praise Trump's agreement to end our engagement in Afghanistan. But there is another drawback to what Lankford is claiming: people quickly pick up on style in place of substance and it quickly breaks down. Gaza will be the first big test. Remember how it took over a year for Kissinger to negotiate the shape of a table for the Vietnam negotiations in Paris? Oh, just 4 years ago Trump was mired down with Covid-19 and had to be bailed out by Biden. Lankford tried to put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig.
