He is expected to install a policy that gender is sex as assigned at birth, but so far all we have is his statement at about 12:28 pm. That could change later today or this week. It will then remain to be seen how the policy is framed and enacted, and decisions will need to be made for people who have changed gender markers to M or F, as well as people who have had various forms of medical intervention.
