3. I don't know how they do it.

I'm in a hilly, rural area. Some years ago we had a fire that went to the top of one of these hills. After they basically got it out, they stayed on that hill for three days, mopping up. You could see hose line all over the hill. Can't imagine having to lug that up and down what basically looks like the side of a mountain. At night, you could see the lights from their helmets moving all over the place.

The three fires just to the north of me are now contained. There is one in downtown San Diego, and they've had to evacuate. Looks like they're getting a handle on it.

It really is whack-a-mole. Non-stop when this kind of weather and the winds are happening.
