Thanks to William Casey, White House CIA Agent Donald Gregg, and others who sabotaged the re-election of Jimmy Carter.

- October Surprise
Members of the Reagan-Bush campaign, led by Casey, met secretly with top Iranian officials to delay the release of the American hostages until after the presidential election.
The Iranians were ready to free the hostages as early as September, 1980.
(Several sources for this allegation include Gary Sick, who served as Carter's Iranian expert on the National Security Council)

Remember how easily Jimmy Carter won his 1st debate with Reagan?
Reagan Campaign Manager William Casey arranged for White House CIA Agent Donald Gregg to steal & make copies of Carter's top-secret briefing papers (for the 2nd debate) while Carter was out of town.
Then, armed with President Carter's debate briefing papers, George Will "rehearsed" Reagan for the 2nd debate; so Reagan knew beforehand what Carter was going to say in that 2nd debate, which Reagan "won." ["Well, there you go again"]

So, thanks to Wiliam Casey et.al. the American hostages in Iran were kept 3 months longer than they would have been kept if Casey, Gregg & others hadn't committed treason by:
A) Secretly meeting with the Iranians to ask them not to release the hostages
B) Stealing & copying Jimmy Carter's briefing papers

Reagan stole the 1980 election!
William Casey, Donald Gregg and the rest committed Treason!
