6. I was told yesterday by my supervisor that my 2025 fire season job is safe ..

I'm considered a fire fighter ("red card" holder .. fire detection, suppression, initial attack), and as such I am assigned to a fire battalion. My position is no longer a 1039-TEMP (temporary), but has been funded directly by the ranger district for the last two years.
Those funds were set aside last year for the 2025 fire season.

But with Trump & Mu$k, things could change. Watch these pages for news from the besieged fire lines.
