And I don't mean faculty. Georgetown had to lay off 2000 staff after their AID grants ended with the abolition of AID.

Weren't you just supporting deportations of protestors, their expulsion, and revocation of degrees the other day? That is directly connected to this. The protests are the origin of Columbia's problems. You refused to acknowledge the larger picture when I pointed it out to you. This is authoritarianism in action, and Columbia had little power to resist it. The deal also cedes control over one of their academic departments--which includes Middle-Eastern Studies. The Trump administration doesn't want free thought or speech, and Israel's supporters agree with them. In fact, a group is busily assembling the names of protestors to deport. You can't agree with that without understanding that this is the other part of it.
