"Disaster Capitalism"... seems we're absolutely living it now.

The Repugs have always wanted to remake our society and government. They don't agree with democracy; it doesn't benefit those to whom they owe the most allegiance. FDR's New Deal was the "one toke over the line" for them; it drove them insane where their ideologically formed idea of government is concerned. Decades later, this country elected its first black president; again, it drove them insane. Not only did they see the culture was changing, they could feel the oppressed masses finally gaining footholds of respectability in the nation... to the detriment of white men. Meanwhile, running parallel and closed aligned with this group, were the evangelicals of the churches. Millions left their rolls, along with their tithes and donations. They pulled in closer to these repugs so that they could, also, have a hand in changing the "hearts and minds" of the people.

Gang... we're being Iraq'ized. This is exactly what they tried in Iraq, but Iraqis wouldn't stand for it, and fought against it long enough to where we finally left.
