8. The problem with trying to flip Idaho...

...is if you ran a Democratic candidate with no opposition he or she would still lose.

The Idaho Senate has six Democrats. Four are from Boise, one from Hailey and the last from Pocatello.
The Idaho House has nine Democrats and they're all from Boise.

(Because the districts in this state are apportioned by population and Boise has roughly one-eighth of the population of the entire state, Ada County, where Boise is, has 12 legislative districts all to itself, each with one senator and two representatives. Even in one of the few non-extremist parts of the state Democrats can't get elected. And just so you know, Trump carried Ada County in the last three elections.)
