And what are his ties to Florida? Carpetbaggers don’t generally do well in statewide elections on either side. Of course former Republicans running as Democrats don’t have a good track record either.

Former Republican David Jolly is probably the early favorite for the Democratic nomination but it will still be an uphill battle in the general election against most likely Ashley Moody.
