at "criminal justice reform" because of the inherent unfairness of the system.

Some tiny steps have been enacted in some municipalities like getting rid of "cash bail", where the poorest of the accused can barely or never be able to pay such, and thus end up locked up awaiting a trial (that may take years to happen).
