18. There's been no evidence publicly shown that Epstein's sex abuse of minors was a money-making venture

The closest thing we have on this subject is the victim's group civil suit re: misconduct alleged against JPMC in 2022-23. The allegations centered around Epstein's pattern of cash withdrawals (of his money) that should have been reported but were not, because he had his buddy Jes Staley inside JPMC running interference, and upper management appeared to be more interested in keeping Epstein's investments under their control than getting him in trouble by making legally-required reports.

The victims alleged this cash being withdrawn (and not reported) was used to pay them, and Epstein's recruiters, for their "services" (some victims were also paid for recruiting so they fall into both classes), but never suggested there was some big-dollar international trafficking ring involving rich dudes from all over the world. It was pretty much just that JPMC looked the other way about his cash withdrawals and some there knew (or should have known) that the cash withdrawals were being used for illicit purposes.

There was certainly no allegation along these lines "And all the big banks handing out money as well for the sex and drug ring", in the context it was 'the bank's money', like they were themselves "investors". That is totally unsubstantiated by anything we know (at the moment at least), and the victims group did not make that claim. It was all about Epstein's use of his own accounts, and that JMPC looked the other way because he had large investment accounts with them they didn't want to lose the $$$ from.

I personally don't believe the Biden administration would've just ignored it and only charged Maxwell with trafficking a couple of girls to Epstein if he were in fact running a for-profit international sex trafficking enterprise with a demonstrable money trail.
