28. I moved to England in 2022...

But to be fair, I'd spent more time outside of the US since 2014 than in it. Once I got a taste of Europe, there was really no turning back. I love Latin America too, but couldn't really see myself living there permanently. My main choices were Canada, Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy or Spain.
I'm in the UK now. I'm applying for an Italian passport (their stupid new law be damned). I'll qualify for British citizenship soon enough. Then bye bye US citizenship. The US makes it a royal pain in the ass for its citizens abroad and with my new UK visa, I'll likely come close to- if not exceed- getting taxed by the US.
