Thanks for posting this. I especially love this part, all while pretending this compulsive, almost voyeuristic obsession with other people’s identities is somehow noble, somehow necessary, somehow about 'protecting' anyone from anything other than their own discomfort with a world that refuses to shrink itself down to their narrow, brittle definition of acceptable
