6. This highlights one of the Constitution's worst failures

Mike Johnson openly notes that impeachment is nothing to worry about—because no one will ever be convicted in the Senate.

The 2/3’s majority required for conviction was supposed to encourage stability, sound judgement, and political restraint. In actuality, requiring a super majority meant and means that conviction is effectively impossible.

So, Johnson is not in the least concerned about impeachment, but about the public hearings and Congressional investigations. Those will do damage to the apocalyptic death cult the GOP has become.

That he’s scared of because he won’t be Speaker anymore and won’t be able to adjourn Congress whenever something comes up that the Toddler-In-Chief doesn’t want the public to hear about.
