And it turns out Ringo had a thing about cymbals; he was always changing them, chasing that certain sound he wanted, but there was mention in one article about his pre Beatles drum kit being Premier. I don't know when he switched over to Ludwig, but he was a solid Ludwig boy by the time they splashed in America.
Did Ringo play two different Ludwig drum kits?
I'm always amused Ringo, a left-handed drummer playing a right-handed kit, pissed off a ton of drummers because he produced a signature off beat sound that was really hard to replicate.

I adore Debbie Harry, so I know this, it was a folk (blechhh) band called Wind in the Willows in the late 60s
