Another thing that helps is we have another dog. She is an 11 year old maltese/yorkie mix. She's a runt of the litter and weighs just a bit over four lbs. She's never lived in a house without another dog. I'm going to spoil the hell out of her. Thanks to you for your kind words.

I love rescue puppies. My wife works as a veterinarian at a no kill shelter (worked for over 25 years).
