There's a Walton's episode called The Best Christmas.

Anyway, Grandpa and Grandma Walton were out of town visiting with Maude when a snow storm came through.

Grandpa was on the phone with Erin explaining that they wouldn't be home that evening and his reply was, "Merry merry!" when Erin told her grandma "Merry Christmas".
