I have a new foster kitty! [View all]

Remember how i said I'd only take the aged and infirm? I expected them to be all adults. Well, this one is a kitten with an upper respiratory infection. She's about 3-4 months old, gray tabby and white, very sweet but still feeling a bit...displaced. Apparently she and a sibling were found at a construction site not far from where I live with an adult female, who I assume is their mom and who is in the stray jail. (The mom is very sweet and has a damaged ear, possibly from scratching chronic ear mites, that gives her the appearance of a girl wearing a beret, so we named her Nicolette.) Anyway, kitten is currently reposing in a bed in the kitty playpen in my studio, settling in. She has food and toys and a litterbox but mostly she seems to want to sleep. She's very amenable to cuddles, however. She'll be allowed out when she's more comfortable and when I'm down there working. I'll try to post a picture later but I didn't want to disturb her while she's settling in. She doesn't have a name yet. I'm considering Bridget but I'll let her tell me, the way Sarai did. (BTW, Sarai was adopted by a couple of JMU students about a month ago!)
