modern day child rearing.

I love the great apes. If I had it to do again I would have trained to work with them.

Watch how all the apes raise successful children. They all keep their babies right with them for several years. They hug and kiss all the time. They are very hands on for years. And everybody hugs everybody. And there is a very fixed social structure that works to protect the whole group.
I was raised by non emotional, non touching people. No one had physical contact with anybody.

And I am a terrible loner. I think early humans raised their infants pretty much the same way. I think they may be on to something important. It seems to work.
