I ran into SNL in the second season. I was up late (9 yrs old) and as the local news ended there was an announcement that Fran Tarkenton would host Saturday Night NEXT! I was a Vikings fan at the time so I stayed up and watched it. My world changed.

It was Saturday Night until season 3 after Saturday Night Live with Howard Cosell was cancelled on ABC.
