The DU Lounge

I was standing at the kitchen window
My hands in dishwater sink
When a tremendous light lit up the sky
I barely had time to think
I spied the dining room table
About the time the mushroom cloud appeared
I didn’t know if I’d be able
Im a goner , I feared
But I dove , and rolled
As the shock wave did throb
hoping to save my skin
Muttered a prayer as the walls caved in
All I said was ‘thank you Bob’
