They respectfully waited six years. I feel that Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have the right to now perform as "Rush." [View all]

It's not like the ongoing debate in the music community about whether Bun E Carlos should still be in Cheap Trick.

Neil Peart CAN'T be in Rush.

So that leaves Lee and Lifeson with limited options.

1). Each goes out as a solo artist with pick-up backing musicians, under their name (as in "The Geddy Lee Band" ) and not as Rush

2). They form some kind of half-assed "super group," like when Jack Blades from Night Ranger, Tommy Shaw from Styx, and Nugent formed "Damn Yankees" (I always thought the band was crap).

3). They do what they're doing now. They go out as Rush, with a new drummer, a new keyboardist, and they make themselves and a whole lot of concert-goers happy.

The ONLY complaint I've seen is there was an uproar over ticket prices, but welcome to the wild world of the post-COVID "music industry."

To quote an old Country music song, "Why don't you leave them boys alone, and let 'em sing their songs..."
