7. I agree that cats knock things under couches and other furniture

deliberately. Ember does not do that as much now that she's older, but she used to hide her favorite toys, as if she needed to protect them.

I have pulled out the couch to find a row of toys where she had pushed them.

She loves the laser light, knows that I operate it, and looks around the floor to see where the light will appear when she sees me pick it up. But soon after I bought it, it disappeared. I looked in her favorite hiding places. Finally found it when I pulled back a corner of a throw rug while vacuuming. It was under the fluffy fringe of the rug. I guess a special toy needed a special hiding place.
