Over $800 a seat.

I still go to shows, mostly regional folk artists. Tickets run about $20, and most of the time, if I cared to I could sit right in the front row where I could reach out and touch the performer. Not that I would.

It sucks, because I remember my first concert (Boston), and the ticket cost me $16. And I don’t know the breakdown, but I’ll bet the artist (even at the Rush level) only get a small fraction of that ticket price. The rest goes to stuff that really pisses me off mostly.
