He's made many other such comments over the years. I think that because he doesn't like cats, he just can't understand how anybody else could ever like cats. It's sad to say, but my uncle is even worse than he is.

A few years ago, my uncle, my aunt and I were eating at the buffet on a cruise and across the room was a young lady and her dog. My uncle had a fit about the dog being in the dining room and I said it's probably a therapy dog. He said "if she's that mentally ill, she should be in a looney bin and not on a cruise ship" and I said "that's not very compassionate" and he said "I'm not a compassionate person." Tell me something I don't know. That's certainly something to brag about.

And I'm the one who wasn't raised right.
