Omaha restaurant owner drops third-party delivery apps after $188K in fees[/b

A local restaurant owner said he spent six figures in fees last year having his menu available on delivery apps, leading him to drop third-party services this week.

Javier Trujillo, owner of Javi’s Tacos, said he paid $188,000 in commission fees to delivery apps like DoorDash, Grubhub and Uber Eats across his five restaurants last year.

“Any service that we use that does delivery and then pushes our menu to their customers, we have paid $188,000 last year,” Trujillo said.

The fees applied across his five restaurants: Javi’s Tacos, Time to Rise and Shine, Frosty Mug, Helados Locos and El Milagro.
