The DU Lounge

Returned today to the wallymart where I purchased the tires 3 years ago , to have the rear tires replaced . Told them I wanted the same tire make/brand .
They quoted me $188. I had looked online and the tires were $74 each . But they add on so much, valve stems , tire disposal etc , so I guessed it was about right .
1 hour later im checking out and chatting with the young guy who put them on and test drove . He said he was surprised the car drove so smooth .
It’s a 2001 Subaru Forester with only 186k , tires went on at 175k . So he rings it up $84 . Total .
They gave me $55 credit on each tire for warranty mileage . I can’t complain .

So thats‘s a sweet end to that chapter .

Now off to have the wheels aligned … that will probably bite me in the butt .
