Amazon is the same as favoring the buyer while the seller is the idiot. Opened, incomplete or destroyed items that get returned happen too often and Amazon just accepts these kind of returns and sends it back to the seller.

But if the buy is voided, then I'm pretty sure you don't have to pay the fees for it.
