6. Always disappointing when people scrap

Usable or reusable antique items. I suppose some nibs are damaged beyond restoration, I've seen some pretty good fixes though. I bought an early Mabe Todd 18kt pen/pencil combo from a metals dealer for gold weight and tripled my money 1 week later to an advanced MT collector who had never seen this particular pen/pencil combo before...it came very close to scrapping. .
