3. Tribes and Native cultures/populations in general are anything but a monolith...

I worked with members from more than a half dozen tribes on the issue of Native American names, logos, and mascots for Colorado high schools and sports on a governor's appointed committee years ago to try to identify and gain consensus on which to address and how. There was agreement on many, but on some... anything but. I could not always predict which would continue to "get a pass," even though all were on the table for potential change.

I have also worked in the past on health and communicable disease issues with tribes in Colorado, Montana, the Dakotas, and the Southwest and learned early on how critically important to engage with each new setting and not assume plans or strategies or basic linguistic wording apply from the last similar effort.

So probably many would find no problem with your masks, but you might want to include some kind of explanatory statement as to your motivations and intentions for the effort.
