like Stephanie's horrible apartment furnished with nonmatching castoffs, Stephanie's bed head, inserts from later books (like Lula's working at Plum Bail Bonds), and Stephanie's clothes, kudos to her. I loved all that faithfulness to the books. One reviewer moaned about how horrible the clothes were--but they were totally Stephanie, who thought her lower-level manager's cheap suits were just the thing to wear on this bounty huntering job. (She learns. In Book 14, Lula and the TV crew can hardly get her into the official bounty hunter black leather jacket. And when Vinnie photoshops Lula's clothes and boobs on Stephanie's body for the bus painting and flyers because all Stephanie ever wears by then are T shirts!)

Debbie Reynolds was wonderful. I hope there's more movies; I'd love to see Debbie burn down the funeral home, move in with Stephanie, date all those...interesting characters, and frighten Ranger.

Did anybody get that Lula was wearing a Pretty Woman dress at the end, when she started working for Vinnie? It went over my head completely. Sherrie was wonderful as Lula. I do want to see her sit on felons and get chased by the dogs after her bacon.

My husband--I dragged 3 guys to see it with me--thought Ranger was the most convincing character, in that he oozed competence and had the don't-mess-with-me aura.
