...that my experience of Jane Wyman is told purely in bookends: the gentle but resilient heroine of Johnny Belinda and the tough-as-nails yet still vulnerable Angela Channing in Falcon Crest. I liked it that she played brilliantly off Lew Ayres and David Selby (the latter is still with us, last time I checked).
