I savor every moment of "Gilda," every time I watch it! There was a post last month asking about favorite movies. I meant to reply, and, "Gilda" is my favorite (what I consider 'Classic Film'), tied for first with the much more recent: "Atonement," & "This is Spinal Tap." If you missed it, watch it the next chance you get!
I could gush about "Gilda": Rita's performance, the writing/dialog, directing, etc, as others have, for pages. But, if you're reading this comment, you are already aware of that; or, I'll let you discover its' brilliance when you watch it, not second-hand.

Right after "Gilda" is another gem, "Born Yesterday." Judy Holliday is priceless! Her performance makes me smile throughout the movie! I know I'm not alone in wishing that she (& Jean Harlow - to name but two) had lived so many, many more decades!
