That man’s brilliance was incredible. How he could make my sides hurt in his silent films - humor like that without speaking a word.
His serious side was also formidable. His last film - title escapes me right now - was more brilliance, but with Martha Raye, and Shelley Winters!
And the man wrote the song, “Smile.”
I’m mean, c’mon!
