How neat your mom did coiled baskets!
I bought a Hopi coiled plate when I visited AZ, Navojo & Hopi Nations. Still have it.

Your mixing fiber w pine needles sounds wonderful!

I did 2 coiled small decorative coiled plates using embroidery thread back in the late '90s. They were very pretty I might still have one. And one somewhat deformed 😮😄 woven one.

Actually now that I learned to use a photo hosting site this year - if I find the one I might still have I'll post it.
