so my best guess is something off American Beauty (Ripple/Brokedown Palace or Till the Morning Comes), or Europe ‘72 (ChinaCat, Ramble On Rose).

Checked out the Billboard 100 and of those:
Bust A Move: Young MC or Never Tear Us Apart: INXS

Still a banger, with some funky-ass Flea bass.
